Qualifications

Marlene’s mom confided, at age 8, that a random woman had approached her to relay a message that Marlene was gifted. Sadly, her mom passed away when she was 12, but Marlene and her sister remember clearly those prophetic words. At the time Marlene didn’t know what “gifted” meant, but she was keenly aware of her uncanny ability to see, know, hear, smell and feel things about strangers—even describe their surroundings! Marlene receives referrals from clients from around the country, people from all walks of life who desire readings from her. They prize her ability to bring clarity, insight and solutions to their problems. Over 30 years ago, at 25, Marlene fell asleep while driving, and woke up in the hospital, her body wrapped from shoulder to waist, her pain excruciating. She had three broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a concussion, and abrasions to her knee and head. Before waking, she recalls the vision of lying down and looking up to see blinding bright lights. People and animals lined a road that seemingly went on forever. She thought, “Did I die?”… “Did God have a purpose for me I hadn't yet fulfilled?” At the time, her potential had yet to be fulfilled, her life spared so she could continue on with her journey to help others. It’s a journey that continues to change lives in a positive way.

Experience

In the early 1950’s, Marlene learned she was gifted, but as a child she didn’t understand what that meant. Nearly 25 years ago, she gave her first readings to family and close friends, who were amazed by the details and accuracy she provided. Around the same time, she met a psychic who confirmed her ability to channel messages as a Medium, and to view remotely. She was told she could easily earn lots of money, but her gifts were given to help others. In 1997, this same psychic invited Marlene to read with her at metaphysical fairs around the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas. The fairs produced a host of steady clients for Marlene, and these clients referred others… and so on. She has since conducted thousands of readings, in-person, by skype and phone. Clients include: two TV personalities, producers of reality TV shows, other psychics, businessmen and women, and everyday people desiring clarity and truth from a sincere individual. She’s regularly invited to read at parties for sixty or more people, and has taken part in psychometry events (feeling an object to sense its history). In 2014, she retired as a Public Affairs Specialist and became a Certified Life Coach, continuing to help individuals—including skeptics—by accurately guiding them with her intuitive skills.

Personal

Marlene is a Libra--a natural born counselor--born in October under the sign of the scales. Beautifully balancing her work with family, she’s a mother of one grown son, and the grandmother of two. Her family is composed of smart and talented siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren. She loves her family and cherishes the friends she’s made throughout the years. After her retirement, she moved south to North Carolina, to be closer to family. By trade, Marlene is a writer, who continues to take-on technical writing projects, as time permits. Always caring for others, she devises topical analgesics for pain, using therapeutic essential oils. She also creates hand-beaded earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. Constantly decorating and redesigning her home, she loves eclectic spaces that are light, beautiful, serene, and plant-filled. Marlene believes we all have a purpose. Hers is to help others with her many gifts. Her favorite quote is from a journalist she’s come to admire and respect: “No exercise is better for the human heart than reaching down to lift up another person.” This quote has been her creed, her chant, and her life. If Marlene can help one person, she is performing her life's work—her purpose.
